Every Friday afternoon during our weekly team meeting at SideTour, we select one cocktail to enjoy as a group. This week, we created a Classic Margarita. It’s summer. It’s margarita time. Our lime juice was a little tart so we added an extra dash of agave to sweeten the deal. Test yours before serving.
The Classic Margarita Recipe
1.5 oz of tequila (we used Herradura)
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz Cointreau
Dash of agave nectar
Kosher salt, for rimming the glass (optional)
Rim a glass with salt. For this one, we used cayenne salt (1 cup of kosher salt, 1 teaspoon of cayenne, mixed). Fill a glass to the top with ice. Pour tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, and agave into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Pour over ice.
