How to Make the Most Out of New York City

We asked a few people what’s on the top of their New York bucket list? How do they hope to make the most of their time living or visiting the Big Apple?

1. Act Like a Tourist

Go to the Museum of Natural History, The Museum of Modern Art, The Intrepid now that they have the space shuttle, Nobu, Peter Luger steakhouse in Brooklyn, Ground Zero, the Strawberry Fields (which I can’t believe I’ve never seen), completely encircle Manhattan by bicycle, The High Line.

But you know what I want to do more than anything? I know it sounds corny,
but I want to get on one of those double-decker buses that are filled with
tourists, and sit on the top deck and take in New York City in a relaxed,
leisurely state instead of the usual frenetic go go go, and learn as much as
I can about the city on one of those tours.

Thanks to Comedian Dan Nainan.

2. Explore, Explore, Explore

Take the 6 train to the closed City Hall stop at the end of the line. In fact, I’d like to ride all subway lines from beginning to end.

Thanks to Vanessa of Blue Wolf Communications.

3. Become a Star…or Hang with One…or Pretend to be One

Perform on Broadway, host The Today Show for a day, and star in the next NYC Bourne movie or cop drama.

Have lunch in SoHo with Sarah Jessica Parker after she takes me shopping and gives me fashion advice.

To have actually have breakfast in front of the Tiffany’s window after a full blown night out in Manhattan-just like Miss Audrey Hepburn. Black dress, sunglasses, and tiara included.

Thanks to Monica of My365Guide, Angelica of Angelica Says, and Donna Cutting.

4. Increase Your Heart Rate

Helicopter ride over the East River, skydive in NJ, bungee jump off the 59th Street bridge.

Thanks to Dana Humphrey of White Gate PR.

5. Get Weird

Go to the Earth Room in SoHo. It’s a beautiful holdout from weirder times, and it only gets weirder and more beautiful with each passing year.

Thanks to Christy M.

6. Be Cultured

Attend a Shakespeare in the Park performance.

Thanks to Miles Abernathy.

8. Get Glam
